Lots of people say that someone is a "good" Christian. What do they mean by good Christians?
Christian is a belief it is like saying that someone is good in their belief. Like, Wow!! they are actually living by what they say they are, they are a good Christian.
What are your thoughts? Let me know. I want to understand what people truly mean by saying "good Christian".
I would guess that they mean that the person referred to as a "good Christian" just does all the "right" things, acts the "right" way. That's kind of a hard question, but that's what comes to mind when I hear that. The thing is that the "good Christian" may just be a fake, or trying rely on doing everything "right" could wear them out, and distract them from God Himself. I think we should just try to honor God in everything, and let Him lead us in our lives.

That is what I was thinking, almost exactly.
ReplyDeleteI think that when we go so far as to say that someone is a "good christian" we might be distracting them (making them feel "good" about what they do instead of who they are in Christ).
